Separation Technologies

Separation technologies vary by process requirement and are often used as a first stage of filtration.  There are various types of separators available – all with a specific purpose dependant on the product being filtered.

Magnetic Separators are often used in grinding, honing, milling and drilling applications where excessive stock removal is required on ferrous materials.  They can either be of a magnetic variety for larger particles or of the rare earth variety for fine particulate removal from coolants.

Oil/Water Separators/Skimmers are ideal for removal of fats, oil or grease from water or liquids by way of a skimming or rotating drum action.

Cyclonic Separators removes particulates from air, gas or a water stream.

Centrifugal Separators are commonly used to dry sludge produced after solids/liquid separation has occurred.
